Killam Gas Burner Co. was established by Gaston Killam in 1916. The place was Calgary, Canada and he was a blacksmith by trade. One day Gaston was asked to make an item for a customer. Presented with only a rough drawing, he had no idea what the item was for. After the item was made, Killam asked what it was all about. "Why, it’s a burner for my furnace" the customer said. Thus began the Killam conversion burner business.
Taking advantage of a high demand for coal to gas conversion burners in the Colorado area, Killam incorporated in Denver in 1931. As demand grew nationwide, so did his business, and soon he was delivering burners across the country.
Our Commitment Today. . .
Today, Killam continues to manufacture specialty gas burners for applications such as kilns, crucibles, ovens, dryers and kettles. We also manufacture gas pilots, safety devices, control panels, and oil pump sets for boiler/burner applications.
We are also factory representatives for several burner and boiler companies in the Colorado/Wyoming region. Long-term relationships have been established with companies such as Ray Burner, S.T. Johnson Burner, Burnham Commercial, and Sellers Engineering in order to meet the growing needs of our customers.
